First Strike: Classic App Reviews

Hello! I can tell you from countless hours of nuclear fun, First Strike is one of the best strategy games on the App Store. Some suggestions for the developers of the game: Multiplayer, a bigger Earth so more nations can be added into the game (Japan and South Korea), the nuclear submarine as a super weapon, more cities (Washington DC, St. Petersburg, Berlin, and etc.), and my final suggestion would be to stop having the AI constantly fire nukes at you. For example I was playing a game with 10 players. At the beginning the AI occasionally fired nukes at me and at each other. As the game continued I noticed the AI almost never fired nukes at each other but instead they all fired nukes at me. So it was almost like the AI was acting as a single unit. Again, First Strike is a great game that will keep you busy for hours on end! Keep up the good work!

This game is extremely interesting a fun to play. It doesnt require internet so you can play anywhere. I enjoy the special weapons in the game, the varying levels of difficulty, and I especially enjoy crushing my opponents. This is a great game for anyone that wants to pass the time with something fun.

Well this game is really fun but after a while it just gets ridiculous because of you are playing against 8 enemies its a never ending game because no matter what you do they keep expanding and so it never ends it would be a lot better if they werent able to expand after you destroy the land and would be able to win the game.

This game is one of the greatest games I have played on a mobile device. Two things are missing that should be in the game. 1: an online multiplayer. I want to play against some real people, not having to go up against the computer all the time. 2: A save feature. Too many times I am playing a good game of first strike and I have to get up to do something, and when I get back to my game, all my progress is gone. All and all though, a great game, but if those features could be put into the game, that would be great.

My iPad mini can no longer run this app please fix this

I love it and all, but I ask for one thing alone. The pause menu minuets to midnight is at 7-8 minuets even though we are at 3 minuets to midnight. Can you please put the minuets to midnight clock to its correct spot?

First strike used to be one of my favorite games. Then I saw the new update and Im like "cool a new update". After I got the update though the game crashes a lot, sometimes in the middle of a war and sometimes on the load screen. Would give 5 stars if you could fix the crashing

App keeps crashing on startup. I have reinstalled the app and restarted my iPad, but no results.

So I have 73.5% complete but it will no longer save my achievements. Besides that I love this game

I know what this game has to offer and it is really fun but with the new update the game will not run for my iPad. This makes me sad because I love this game and my friends have it or plan to get it only to me having to tell them it wont work for them. If you fix this I would love this game and I age the game five stars because it is fun in every bit of the word but needs to be restored to its former fun because many people who play this Im sure play it on some large screen or iPad. Please fix for future gaming fun.

Overall was a pretty decent update but I dont expected a bit more since this game hasnt been updated for a while. I hoped for a multiplayer mode but wasnt in this update, hopefully next update.

Cant put it down!!! Cool update - allows for diff kinds of gameplay.

This game is great except for a single fatal flaw. You cant save in the middle of a game and then finish it later. If you exit for a second or the game crashes, then the time you put into that battle is wasted. This is extremely frustrating and forces you to play a whole game in one sitting and even then it can crash and you lose it all. It would get 5 stars and I would recommend it to people otherwise.

Love the game, but after recent update after a country is attacked with cobalt bomb you cannot use that country for rest of game. Major bug. Especially when in HC mode

This is an amazing game but as some other reviews say, you cant save a game and finish it later. This is a great game and i would reccomend it and i hope that is fixed in the next update

On the iPad simply switching apps is enough to lose all your progress in this game, which is as much as 35 min of gameplay wasted. UPDATE: Version 1.3 will crash in the middle of gameplay. Thanks to lack of save, this means my last 90min of gameplay are completely lost. (Yes, hardcore mode games last this long) The other thing is while you are constantly doing things in this game, it is still far too easy. I have played probably 10 games and I have not lost once! Not even close! Not even my first time! Not even as the supposedly impossible North Korea! Note: version 1.3 has introduced hard-core mode. This significantly increases the difficulty of the game when engaged. I have now actually lost without trying to lose. There are some ridiculous bugs and frustrations present, as well. The game actually encourages and allows you to nuke your own super weapons, which renders you permanently unable to use that super weapon for the rest of the game. the new solar laser is incredibly difficult to control correctly. I feel like this game needs more polishing to be truly recommendable. UPDATE: 1.3 is crashing so much, it may actually be impossible to finish a game on hard-core mode before it crashes and makes you start from the beginning again! Unplayable - One star!

This is all I always asked for: a game that lets you take control of all superpowers of the world (USA, Brazil, Europe, Russia, China, etc.) and make them have a "free for all" style of war, with the right to access nuclear weapons. Thank you, devs, for making my dream come true. The gameplay is very simple, and within 10 minutes I could get the hang of it. I just think that the AI is very dumb and acts in the "kill, kill, kill" mode. There is no tactic at all. Ex: Im playing as a small country, such as North Korea. China, who is on my frontier, attacks Russia, who is much bigger and requires a lot of missiles to be taken down, while NK only requires one. And by that, you can just let they kill themselves, and when they notice, you have the tsar bomb and half of the world under your command. Apart from that, the game is totally worth the money, giving you a nice time-wasting game. Update: this game doesnt have multiplayer, which is almost sin. Once you know how to play the game becomes stupid, as the AI doesnt have any tactics. Another example: if you are full of rockets and have a huge territory, the your enemies dont make you their priority, continuing to nuke each other. It would be smarter to join forces to kill you and then continue to fight. Another cool feature apart from the multiplayer, would be social choice. Ex: if you nuke too many important cities, like NY, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, London, etc, the people is more likely to hate you, starting to make protests and revolutions, which you will need to deal with without losing your control, by, for example, martial law. Update 2: 1.3 is an awesome update. It introduces hardcore mode, which Ive been waiting for a long time, apart from the 2 new super weapons, that are amazing (the solar satellite isnt the best weapon to use, but its a lot of fun if you just want to mess around)and completely necessary, due to the lack of weapons on the original game (there were only 4). My suggestions are the same; multiplayer mode and political scenario, where the population of your country can try to take over your territory if you nuke a lot of big cities, such as NY, São Paulo, New Delhi and the list goes on. If you like political geography and history (like me :D) you must have this game and play it until your fingers bleed (thats not what I meant to say, but it works out fine). In hardcore mode my suggestion came true; if you are growing very fast and you have a lot of the world land mass over your control, your enemies WILL join forces to take you down. Success,first strike; you deserve it!

Keeps crashing ever since the update.

Sweden is finally not neutral simulator 2016 10/10 Oh and HC mode is a blast. Literally.
